That's a range, not a quote. Methanol pricing shifts weekly, and your landed cost depends on freight and storage. Verify current rates for your location.
But the per-ton number is not the real price. This is where buyers make the most expensive mistake: comparing the quoted price per ton while ignoring the cost of verification. When you buy bulk methanol from a commodity trader, you're buying the molecule. If your application is synthesis or analytical work, you still need to verify purity, water content, and impurity profiles—that's instrument time, technician time, and a QC protocol you have to write. Why does the supplier matter in a hazard discussion? Because hazard communication is only as reliable as the documentation behind it.
